OBELOINKMENT WRIGGLESWORTH
http://aftergrass.com or http://www.myspace.com/obeloinkment
Obeloinkment's set has one purpose: to make avatars shake their virtual asses. The music is original and made using an loop machine with acoustic guitar, a microphone, drums, bass, various percussion items, and sometimes even an old hammond organ. The original tunes seldom sound the same as experimentation is all part of the act. Obe does play the occasional cover songs for effect, fun, or request, but the focus of the show is original music with organic instruments that absolutely never uses any prerecorded tracks. If you had to pin down a genre on this show it'd be funkadelicbluegrassfolkrock with tequilla. Sometimes it has a country twang, other times just raw funky grooves. As far as the occasional covers examples include Tom Waits, Ween, and Leonard Cohen. His shows frequently feature special guests ranging from vocalists, to standup bass players, mandolinists, percussionists, and even his howling dog...

SHANE KIRSHNER
Shane sang for the first time on an imaginary stage with a tennis racket for a guitar at the age of eight. She liked to pretend she was Susanna Hoffs of the 80's girl group, The Bangles. When she was eleven, she came across Sheryl Crow and wanted to be just like her, she decided that she would learn guitar and be on a real stage without a tennis racket in sight. She got a guitar in 2005, but didn't really learn to play it until two years later when she really discovered her passion for the instrument. All of her tunes are self taught, she doesn't like to work from sheet music and prefers to learn the music she plays by ear. She sings with passion and tends to believe more in the music than herself, but with the amount of passion she has, her performances rarely go wrong. Shane's inspirations over the years include; Regina Spektor, Ingrid Michaelson, Jenny Owen Youngs, Cat Power, Tegan & Sara and more!

Shane Kirshner (UK), handily wields her trusty guitar while channeling her soul through voice to transmit a sound of pure emotional energy. Bear witness to the percussive thunder of Walking Frog (AUS) on drums as she surrenders her soul to the gods of rock. Alas, there is a shred of hope for awesome music - Dead Heathers
