Mykal spent many years serving as bass/rhythm guitar/vocalist for the original bands “the Unclassified” and “Chivalry’s Dead”, with a short stint with the cover band “Fair Warning”. Since branching out on his solo career his work has been compared to such varied artists as Lou Reed, the Cure, Elvis Costello, Wilco, Leonard Cohen, and even Depeche Mode and Johnny Cash. As SL’s “Mykal Skall” he is taking things to an entirely different level, bringing renditions of his own music, stripped down to bare bones for one acoustic guitar.
